Foxnet University — Engineering knowledge. Real-world expertise.

Learn. Design. Deploy. Solve.

What Foxnet engineers know from designing, installing and maintaining security systems across Indian sites — written down, taught, and available by the hour.

CCTV coverage cone in plan viewA camera on a wall at left projects a 90 degree field of view. Bands across the cone mark identify, recognise, observe and detect distances: the further from the camera, the less detail per metre.IdentifyRecogniseObserveDetectHFOVPixel density falls with distance: plan the lens for the task at each zone.

Book an Engineer

A Foxnet engineer, by the hour.

Remote sessions for configuration, health checks and fault-finding; on-site visits when hands are needed at the panel, the rack or the door.

  • Your AMC or warranty cover is checked before you pay.
  • The quote shows every line and the GST before you confirm.
  • Upload logs, photos or drawings so the engineer arrives prepared.
Access control signal flowA card is presented at the reader beside the door. The reader sends the credential over OSDP or Wiegand to the door controller, which checks it against its local database and reports to the access server over the IP network. If access is granted the controller releases the lock; the door contact and request-to-exit button report back to the controller.DoorReadercard / PINControllerdecides locallyAccess serverrules, audit logOSDPTCP/IPlock release (fail-safe / fail-secure)door contact + request-to-exitThe controller grants or denies even if the server link drops; events sync when it returns.

How the systems fit together

IP surveillance network topologyEight IP cameras connect to two PoE access switches, four per switch. Each access switch has a fibre uplink to a core switch. The core switch connects the NVR and the video management server on a dedicated camera VLAN, and a firewall separates it from the corporate LAN.PoE switch APoE switch Bfibre uplinkCore switchNVR / storageVMS serverFirewall → LANcamera VLAN

Addressable fire alarm loopA fire alarm control panel at left drives a loop that leaves from loop out, runs past smoke and heat detectors, a manual call point, sounders and an input-output module, and returns to loop in. Short-circuit isolators split the loop so a single fault takes out only one section, and a single open circuit is still reached from both ends.FACPpaneloutinSSHSMCPSSNDSI/OS smoke · H heat · MCP call point · SND sounder · I/O module · ▱ isolator. Questions

What is free and what is paid?

Reading these pages and the figures on them is free. Books, training sessions, engineer time, Ask an Engineer packages and Engineering Desk work are paid, and are marked so. Every price is calculated by Foxnet and shown before you pay.

Is Foxnet training official manufacturer training?

Foxnet-led training is delivered by Foxnet engineers. It is not official OEM-authorised training and does not lead to a manufacturer certification.

How do I pay?

Online through Razorpay (cards, UPI, net banking), or ask for a corporate quotation for training. A GST invoice is issued by Foxnet Securitas for every paid order.

Do I need an account?

Only to buy, book or send a request. Sign in with Google, an e-mail link or a WhatsApp code; there is no password to remember.

My site has an AMC with Foxnet. Do I pay for support?

When you book remote or on-site support, Foxnet checks your AMC or warranty cover. Covered work is booked at no charge and the quote says so; anything outside cover is quoted before you pay.
