How a Foxnet deployment works

  1. Site survey and requirement capture. Our engineers walk the site, record lighting conditions at the hours that matter, identify blind spots and choke points, verify cable routes and available power, and agree what each camera must actually achieve — detect, recognise or identify — because that single decision drives resolution, lens and count.
  2. Design and BoQ. We issue a camera schedule with positions, mounting heights, fields of view, resolution tiers and lens focal lengths, alongside a storage calculation, switch and UPS sizing, cable schedule and a line-item bill of quantities. You see what is being bought and why, before you commit.
  3. Installation and commissioning. Cabling is pulled and tested, cameras mounted and weather-sealed, PoE switches and recorders racked, IP addressing applied, and every channel focused and aimed against the agreed field of view. Analytics rules are set, recording schedules confirmed and the system stress-tested at full write load.
  4. Handover, training and documentation. You receive as-built drawings, an IP and credential schedule, warranty records and a test report signed off channel by channel. Security officers and administrators are trained on live view, playback, export procedure and the escalation path for a camera that stops recording.
  5. AMC and ongoing support. What moves the number up or down

Costs rise with retention beyond 30 days, 8MP and multi-sensor cameras, long outdoor cable runs requiring trenching or poles, fibre between buildings, PTZ positions, ANPR and analytics licensing, redundant recording, and any requirement to work only outside business hours. Costs fall where existing structured cabling and cable trays can be reused, where an analog estate can be migrated over coax rather than rewired, where camera counts are reduced by choosing correct lenses instead of adding positions, and where a single design is repeated across similar sites. The single largest avoidable cost is over-specifying resolution everywhere instead of only where identification is genuinely required.

CCTV AMC services are quoted separately from the capital cost. Annual maintenance contracts in this market are commonly priced as a percentage of installed system value, typically in the region of 8–15% per annum depending on whether the contract is comprehensive (spares included) or non-comprehensive (labour and visits only), how many sites are covered and how quickly attendance is required. Analog over coax still makes sense where sound existing cabling can be reused and budgets are tight, and hybrid recorders let you migrate in phases rather than rewiring an entire building at once.

CCTV footage that identifies individuals is personal data under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, so an organisation acting as data fiduciary should have a defined purpose, visible signage as notice, a documented retention period with genuine deletion afterwards, restricted and logged access, and security safeguards.
